FPV motor choice is decided by the propeller and the cell count, not by the brand on the box. This range covers 5-inch racing and freestyle builds from 1700 to 2400KV, in 2206, 2207, 2306 and 2207.5 stators.
5-Inch Racing Motors (2207 / 2306 Class)
A 2207 or 2306 stator is the standard for 5-inch quads. It turns a 5x4.3x3 or 5x4.5x3 propeller without overheating the windings on a full pack.
KV and Propeller Matching for FPV
1700 to 2000KV suits 6S racing with 5-inch props, while 2300 to 2400KV is aimed at 4S freestyle. Match the KV to the pack, not the other way around.
Thrust and Current Data
We publish thrust, current and RPM per throttle step, so you can check that the motor is not over-propped before you fly it.
Freestyle vs Racing Setups
Racing wants peak thrust and a light airframe; freestyle wants smooth mid-range control and predictable recovery. The same stator can serve both at different KV.
OEM, Custom KV and Bulk Orders
Custom KV, cable length, connector and packaging are available for OEM and distributor orders.
Frequently asked questions
What KV for a 5-inch FPV drone?
Around 1700 to 2000KV on 6S, or 2300 to 2600KV on 4S, with a 5-inch tri-blade propeller.
2207 vs 2306 motor: which is better?
A 2306 has a taller stator for more torque and a slightly heavier build; a 2207 is lighter and spins up faster.
What is the best motor for a freestyle drone?
A 2207 or 2306 at 1750 to 1850KV on 6S gives smooth, predictable mid-range control.
Do you sell FPV motors in bulk?
Yes, we supply samples first and then repeat bulk orders with OEM marking and packaging.
